Meet The Team
Find out about some of our team members in their own words – who they are and what they do to support Tenterden Social Hub & Dementia Centre.
Suzanne Hutchings
Administrative Support Manager
I am responsible for all aspects of the administration and HR function within the organisation. I also assist the CEO with projects and information and liaise with the Accounts Administrator regarding payroll.
It’s a very busy office and no working day is the same at Tenterden Social Hub! I work as part of a team of four in the admin office and we are a close-knit team, helping each other out when it is very busy.
One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is, when I have a spare minute, I like to chat with our members and listen to their life stories which are always interesting and great to listen to.

Jo Porter
Administrative Assistant
I work as an Administration Assistant at the Hub, responsible for all the Meals-on-Wheels deliveries and other general office duties.
A typical day for me comprises of talking with customers, collating and inputting the menu choices and organising deliveries. I also create our new menus and distribute these to our clients as well as liaising with our wonderful team of volunteer drivers.
We deliver over 600 hot “ready to eat” meals each month to your door, supporting our local communities including Tenterden, Rolvenden and Woodchurch. All of the meals are hot and freshly prepared from our kitchen, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
We are very flexible in our approach, some members have an occasional meal, and some require a delivery every day – we are happy to help in any way we can, please just call us to discuss your needs.
Emily Holman
Helping Hands Coordinator
I am based in the admin office and work as part of a busy team, helping visitors who pop in to see what services we provide and chatting with our existing clients who like to pop in from time to time.
I have responsibility for coordinating the Helping Hands part of the organisation, meeting new clients to discuss how we can help them within their own home, particularly supporting them through a recovery or after a hospital stay. I then allocate the staff member that best suits their needs.
Having worked for the Hub for some years now, I also advise on our other services to see if these could be helpful too and we are happy to advise and provide the information needed to offer the best support we can.

Trudy Mcnamara
Care Support Services Manager
I look after the members that come into the Hub and ensure that their wellbeing and safety is our top priority. I prepare our care plans and am responsible for our care support workers who look after our members when they come into the Hub. My experience is very varied with extensive knowledge of care at home and elderly support.
It is very rewarding to see members who may be coming in for the first time and who may be a little nervous, then really enjoying making new friends and friendship groups and the choice of activities that we have to offer.
