Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
Place of work: Tenterden Social Hub (the Hub), Tenterden TN30 6AT
Hours: 28 hours per week, worked over 4 days, 9am – 4.30pm
Tenterden Social Hub & Dementia Centre is recruiting for the role of Administrative Support Manager:
- To provide a consistently high quality of service to the organisation, including our members, staff and volunteers.
- To work with all staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our service users whilst attending the Hub.
- To ensure confidentiality and data protection regulations are maintained in all aspects of the organisation.
Key Tasks
- Responsible for all aspects of the HR function within the organisation.
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers.
- Undertake and oversee administrative tasks as appropriate to ensure the smooth running of the Hub reception and admin office.
- Assist the CEO with projects and information as required.
- Liaise with the Accounts Administrator regarding monthly payroll.
- Manage the ISO accreditation process on behalf of the Hub.
- Liaise with department leads to ensure the smooth running of the Hub’s service areas.
- Deal with and signpost incoming telephone and email queries.
- Provide support for the Meals-on-Wheels service as required, which may occasionally require assisting with the delivery of the meals.
- Work with the Care Support Manager to ensure staff compliance with mandatory training requirements.
- Provide cover for the Transport Co-ordinator as required.
- Carry out such tasks, within the post holder’s knowledge and skills, as may from time to time be delegated to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.
Other Activities relating to the Role
- Undertake mandatory training as required. Appropriate training will be provided as well as ongoing refresher courses.
- The role reports to the CEO who will conduct annual appraisals and give feedback on the performance of this role.
- To adhere to the Organisation’s Policies and Procedures.
Person Specification
- Previous HR and payroll experience is essential.
- Proven administrative and organisational skills with a flexible approach to the work role and a high level of attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, and Essential experience of working with spreadsheets.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
- Must be a team player.
- Approachable and confident with colleagues and service users.
- Current driving licence and ability to drive Hub vehicles if required.

Salary: £21,000 – £24,000 per annum depending on experience
